Solutions

Five capabilities. One accountable partner.

Most providers sell you one slice of the stack — then you spend the next year coordinating between the network vendor, the identity vendor and the AI vendor. We deliver all three under one contract, so when something needs to be fixed there is one number to call.

AI & Data

Turn the data already sitting in your systems into decisions. Amharic, Afaan Oromo and English assistants, document intelligence, video analytics and predictive models deployed locally where required.

Most projects touch more than one capability. Tell us the outcome you are accountable for and we will map it to the right combination — no obligation.

Why eLON

One partner across the whole identity chain.

Connectivity, identity and intelligence are usually three separate vendors with three separate contracts. We run them as one stack — which is why we can be accountable for an identity project end to end, not for one slice of it.

01

Connect

VISP and telecom infrastructure deliver the links, the capacity and the redundancy the platform runs on — including at sites where the public internet is not dependable.

VISP & Telecom
02

Identify

Biometric capture and eKYC bind a real person to a verified identity, using multimodal matching and integration with Ethiopia’s national digital ID and authoritative registries.

Biometrics & eKYC
03

Enable intelligence

Once identity and connectivity are in place, AI turns the resulting data into decisions — Amharic and Afaan Oromo service agents, document processing and risk signals.

Flagship 01 · eKYC & Digital Identity

Onboarding measured in minutes, not days.

A single verification journey that a branch officer, an agent with a tablet or an online applicant can all complete — with the evidence trail your regulator expects.

Illustrative interface — all data fictional and desensitised

Fits how Ethiopia actually works

Low-bandwidth mode, offline capture with later synchronisation, and a mobile agent flow that keeps working when the site connection drops.

Built for audit, not just for demo

Consent capture, operator identity, timestamps and retention policy are recorded on every case, and exported in a form your compliance team can hand to a regulator.

Integrates, does not replace

We connect to your core banking, CRM or onboarding system through documented APIs rather than asking you to migrate onto a platform you cannot control.

Case studies

Evidence, not adjectives.

A tier-1 commercial bank · Addis Ababa

Digital account opening across branch and app

Identity capture at the counter and in the app, biometric verification against the enrolled record, and a decision trail an auditor can reconstruct months later.

eKYCBanking
A federal public-sector service programme

Identity verification at distributed service points

Enrolment designed for service points where the link is intermittent, with rejections that explain themselves to non-specialist operators.

BiometricGovernment
A multi-site international mission

Estate-wide connectivity and reporting

A survey of every site and a ranking of what was actually causing the failures — power and last-mile rather than capacity.

Frequently asked

The questions procurement asks first.

Short, direct answers you can quote in an evaluation report.

Do you integrate with Fayda / the national digital ID?
Yes — the platform is designed to verify against Fayda, Ethiopia’s national digital ID, and the registries your institution is entitled to query, live rather than from a cached copy. Access depends on your institution’s authorisation. The exact integration scope, consent flow and data-sharing terms are agreed per project and documented before build starts.
Where is customer identity data stored, and for how long?
Storage location, encryption, retention period, access control and any cross-border transfer are set out in our Data Protection Statement and agreed contractually with each client. Identity and biometric data are treated as our most sensitive category, and deployment location is a configuration choice rather than a fixed constraint.
How fast can you provision internet for a new office or campus?
It depends on the last-mile option available at your site. Locations already reached by our fibre can be provisioned considerably faster than sites that need a new microwave link installed. We confirm a target date after a site survey, and tell you which dependencies are on your side.
How is eKYC priced — per verification or subscription?
Both models are available. Per-verification pricing suits variable or seasonal volume; a subscription with a committed monthly volume gives you a predictable cost and a lower unit rate. We recommend a model only after looking at your expected volume profile and peak behaviour.
What happens when the network or the grid goes down?
Core links are provisioned with redundancy, and platform components are designed to degrade gracefully — for example, capturing enrolment offline and synchronising when connectivity returns. Specific recovery objectives are agreed per service tier rather than promised as a blanket figure.
Next step

Tell us the outcome you are accountable for.

You do not need a finished specification. Describe the problem — account opening queue too long, a site that keeps losing connectivity, an enrolment programme to stand up — and we will come back with the capability that fits.
